Bill of lading

Last updated

A bill of lading is the shipping document issued by the carrier that shows goods are on board and in transit, describes the cargo and is needed to collect it. For imported construction material it is one of the documents the goods receipt is checked against.

Where you meet it

Read the procurement guide. In SupaJack Construct receiving the bill of lading sets the consignment to in transit, and a draft is confirmed with the manufacturer before it is issued. Related: goods received note and landed cost.
