Goods received note
A goods received note records what actually arrived against a purchase order, so quantities and condition can be checked before the supplier is paid and stock is updated. For imported material it is checked against the commercial invoice, bill of lading and packing list.
Where you meet it
See the procurement guide. SupaJack Construct builds the receipt from those documents and allocates what arrived to the project that ordered it. Related: bill of lading and material inspection report.
Why it matters
Without a receipt matched to the order, a supplier can be paid for goods that never arrived or arrived damaged, and the project's stock figures stop meaning anything.
