Banking and budgets
The banking and budgets module covers cash and control. Bank accounts are reconciled against statements, post-dated cheques received and issued are tracked to their dates, budgets are set by cost centre and project, spending above budget needs an approved override, and forecasts show where the year is heading.

What it handles
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Bank accounts | Balances and transactions by account |
| Reconciliation | Matching the ledger to bank statements |
| Post-dated cheques | Inward and outward PDCs tracked to their dates |
| Budgets | By cost centre and project |
| Budget overrides | Spending above budget needs approval |
| Variance | Budget against actual |
| Forecasts | Where the year is heading |
How a typical month runs
Receipts and payments are recorded against the bank account they went through, and each statement is reconciled so the ledger matches the bank. Post-dated cheques from clients are logged when received and moved to cash only when they clear on their date, and cheques issued to suppliers are tracked the same way, so the cash forecast shows money that is really available. Budgets are set by cost centre and project at the start of the year. When a purchase would take a budget over its limit, an override request goes to an approver with the right permission, and variance and forecast reports show where the year is heading.
Rules it enforces
- Budget overrides are approved by people with the right permission.
- PDCs stay separate from cleared cash until their date.
- Payroll can be paid from the bank account named on the run.

Can access be limited by role?
Yes. Admins decide what each role can see and do.
How is it priced?
By quote, based on company size and the modules you use.
